1. Information We Collect
When you authorize the LebWorld News integration via TikTok Login Kit, we collect specific information necessary to provide the publishing services. This includes:
Profile Information: Your TikTok display name, avatar URL, OpenID, and creator details.
Authentication Tokens: OAuth access tokens and refresh tokens required to authenticate API requests on your behalf.
Publishing Metadata: Information about the videos you initiate for publishing, such as titles, captions, privacy settings, and upload status.
We do not collect or store your TikTok password. The authentication flow is handled directly and securely by TikTok's login server.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information exclusively to facilitate the editorial workflow of publishing news content to your TikTok channel. Specifically, we use:
Profile Information to display which TikTok account is currently connected in your dashboard.
Authentication Tokens to securely communicate with the TikTok Content Posting API when you explicitly click 'Publish'.
Publishing Metadata to track the status of your video uploads and provide you with success or failure notifications.
We do not sell, rent, or lease your personal information or TikTok developer data to any third parties. We do not use your TikTok data for targeted advertising, user profiling, or any purpose other than providing the direct publishing functionality you requested.
3. Data Storage and Security
We implement robust security measures to protect your data. Your TikTok access and refresh tokens are strictly stored as encrypted, HTTP-Only browser cookies on the client side, or in a secure database vault.
All data transmitted between your browser, our servers, and TikTok's APIs is encrypted using industry-standard TLS (HTTPS). Access to our internal publishing systems is restricted to authorized editors only.
4. Data Sharing and Third Parties
We do not share your TikTok Developer Data with any third-party services, data brokers, or advertising networks. Information is only shared directly with TikTok's servers to execute the API requests you initiate.
We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.
5. Data Retention, User Control, and Deletion
We retain your TikTok OAuth tokens and profile metadata only for as long as your TikTok account remains connected to the LebWorld News Dashboard. If you disconnect your account or revoke access, your OAuth tokens and associated profile data are permanently and immediately deleted from our databases.
Operational publishing logs are retained for a maximum of 30 days for debugging and audit purposes, after which they are automatically pruned and deleted.
You retain full control over your connected TikTok account. You can revoke LebWorld News's access at any time by visiting your TikTok account settings (Settings > Security and Login > Manage app permissions).
If you wish to request the manual deletion of any remaining logs or profile information in our systems, please contact us at the email address below. We will process data deletion requests within 30 days.
6. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or TikTok's Developer Guidelines. We will notify users of any material changes by updating the 'Updated At' date at the top of this policy.
